I know I enjoy bringing able to communicate with German speakers on the odd occasion I bump into someone. Of course I ran into two people on the recent train trip last week! 🙂 Maybe that was a sign?

It has been crazy around this household for the entire year. I am still taking a breather and re-evaluating my priorities and what my plans are going forward.

Keep doing what you’re doing, and then afterwards, just use your existing course materials to stop you from losing those skills.

It’s not a misguided goal if you enjoy it for the sake of enjoying it. But if you don’t really care about learning German and are only doing it to facilitate your trip in September, THEN maybe it’s time to reevaluate them. Your goals should be to make you happy, not someone else.

Sincerely,

I had not really asked myself that questions – that will certainly give me something to think about.
