The problem is that I get distracted or some new seemingly important task requires my attention and I lose focus.

I remember reading the Four Hour Work Week years ago where he suggested only writing a couple important items on a small card each day that really make a difference to accomplish. The small card keeps you from adding more, pointing out that anything that is on the card should be worthwhile to accomplish. It makes you stop to think about what is truly important and limit how much you are trying to accomplish. This is an excellent way to gain focus that I attempt to follow as I “fall off the wagon” multitasking.

Even after recognizing my own limits, writing this article and enjoying a week of disconnected vacation time, I find myself slipping right back into my old habits!

It is weird how we are wired to work and play. I am definitely a “work in progress” that will take the rest of my life to change some of my habits. Oh well – that gives me something to strive for! 🙂

Rarely with good results. That’s why I’ve started putting no more than 3 things on my to-do list every day — unless a lot of things with tight deadlines converge.

Really, I prefer just one or two chores. I knock them out and feel like a champ. Plus it keeps me from getting overwhelmed and/or distracted from other important stuff.

Because in 2015 itself I kick started 3 different career courses altogether, i.e; Web Designing, Graphics & course of Playing Drum. When I started, then it was just like a dream, after the office hours I used to engage myself for all these, but soon I realized that I’m not being able to concentrate in Web Designing course though Playing Drum & Graphics were fun. However, even after investing the hefty amount I had to stop the classes of WBD.. I still do regret for it. 🙁

It is unfortunate that we set ourselves up for failure in other aspects of our lives when we try to do too many big goals and tasks at a time.

Of course I have to keep resetting for my personal live since I have not seemed to fully embraced this concept and find myself doing 6 things at a time. 🙂

I’ve found that to me, even 3 things at a time is too much. I’m 100% focused on my early retirement goal right now, and sadly the rest is suffering. Trying to give a bit of time to my family to avoid a catastrophic scenario, though.
